als Hören,

ich sehe soviel von euch,

als Sehen,

soviel rennt mich an
mit Gerede,
daß ich zuweilen spreche
wie einer, der redet,
spreche wie einer,
der schweigt.

Ich lebe, stark.


I hear so much of you
that I hear nothing more
than hearing,

than seeing,

so much assails me
with talk
that sometimes I speak
like one who talks,
sometimes I
speak like one who is silent.
